Welcome to my digital home. By day I'm a software engineer in the Bay Area — but this site isn't about that. It's about the life I'm building around it, and eventually beyond it. That life has three coordinates. The first is financial freedom: I plan to retire before 45, and every investment decision, savings rate, and side venture is oriented around that target. The second is freedom from the employee mindset: I'm building toward work that I choose, on terms I set, rather than a career defined by someone else's org chart. The third is the freedom to explore — to travel deliberately, to spend time in wild places, to keep learning things that have nothing to do with my job description. This site documents all three in progress. The photography, the trips, the outdoor pursuits, the financial philosophy, the perpetual enrollment in something new — they're not hobbies orbiting a real life. They are the real life. The day job funds the runway. This is what the runway is for.
